BACKGROUND
Headquartered in Denver, CoBank is a national cooperative bank serving vital industries across rural America and is a member of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of banks and retail lending associations chartered to support the borrowing needs of U.S. agriculture and the nation’s rural economy. CoBank contacted Westmeath to support its five-year sponsorship of the Colorado Open, a series of golf tournaments for seniors, men and women.
CHALLENGE
CoBank is actively working to increase its visibility in the community and its reputation as a responsible corporate citizen and high-quality employer.
SOLUTION
Westmeath worked with CoBank to engage and connect with corporations, businesses and civic leaders in the Denver community. In addition to raising its visibility among the business community, CoBank invited PGA and LPGA golf pros to host golf clinics for children participating in the First Tee program. Fostering golf skills is an important part of the program, however, developing life skills is the centerpiece of the First Tee program. This sponsorship became an extension of CoBank’s corporate social responsibility program.
RESULTS
After the first year of sponsorship, CoBank is increasingly recognized as a responsible civic leader with special appreciation for its support of the First Tee program, which teaches the next generation of leaders golf skills and life lessons.
TESTIMONIAL
